(Nov. 30) -- The WikiLeaks whistle-blower website is under a powerful attack by computer hackers.

Again.

Today, the site was bumped out of service to U.S. and European users by a "distributed denial of service attack," or DDOS, a common method used by hackers to slow down or bring down sites, The Associated Press reported.

WikiLeaks has been uploading a trove of secret U.S. diplomatic documents since Sunday, to international condemnation by government officials. A similar but less powerful attack occurred on Sunday after initial documents went up on the site.

"DDOS attack now exceeding 10 gigabits a second," WikiLeaks posted on its Twitter page today. An earlier post read, "We are currently under another DDOS attack."

China has blocked access to diplomatic memos posted on the site, according to The Hollywood Reporter, including a document linking the country's government to last year's hacking of Google's computer system.
