Darren McFadden Breaks 1000-Yard Mark for Raiders
McFadden entered Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos with 993 yards rushing. He went over 1,000 yards when he gained eight yards on his first carry early in the second quarter.
McFadden is the first 1,000-yard back for the Raiders since Justin Fargas finished with 1,009 in 2007. Its also the first time McFadden has achieved the milestone in his three-year career.
After fighting injuries for much of his first two seasons after being selected fourth overall in the 2008 draft, McFadden has had a banner year, showing explosiveness as a runner and sure hands with tremendous run-after-the-catch ability as a receiver.
McFadden has had four 100-yard rushing games this season, including a career-high 165 in the Raiders first meeting against the Broncos on Oct. 24. McFadden scored four touchdowns, three rushing and one on a reception, in the Raiders' 59-14 victory two months ago in Denver.
