Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher hasn't had a game ball to award in a month and a half.

When he got his chance following the Titans' victory over Houston on Sunday, he gave it to offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger, who has spent the past month coaching while undergoing chemotherapy.

Fisher said Heimerdinger -- who was diagnosed with cancer on November 24 -- has been in a "battle for your life, so come on up." Fisher gave Heimerdinger the ball and hugged his friend. The Titans then applauded Heimerdinger, who then said, "Thanks."

The Titans (6-8) posted video of the scene on their Web site after the game.

The Titans' 31-17 victory over the Houston Texans Sunday snapped a six-game losing streak.
