Knowshon MorenoIt is possible that both you and the Denver Broncos will be without stud running back Knowshon Moreno in Week 16 -- most likely championship week for fantasy footballers -- after the lead back injured his ribs on Sunday against the Raiders.

Moreno, who has over 1,000 total yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns on the season, will likely be replaced by backup Lance Ball in the starting lineup if he's unable to go. Don't go anywhere near Ball in the most crucial must-win game of the season. The Broncos, who are looking to start Tim Tebow at quarterback, will lean heavily on the QB to gain yardage on the ground and through the air against the weak Houston secondary.

It's a bit early to completely discount Moreno this week, but you need to be ready to make the tough decision to look elsewhere. We should know more about his status as the Broncos practice on Wednesday afternoon. Stay tuned!

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers, Packers - The Packers have yet to give Rodgers the green-light to play on Sunday against the Giants. While he's not an ideal fantasy replacement, Rodgers' backup Matt Flynn did throw for 251 yards and three touchdowns this past weekend against the Patriots. Care to take yet another flier on him this week against a Giants team who has a lot to prove on defense? Yikes.

Brett Favre, Vikings - Favre suffered a concussion on Monday in a game which he had no business playing in, and now his season and career are more than likely over. You should under no circumstances be starting Favre in your playoff matchups. It's not healthy. Joe Webb is not even a viable option. You should be looking elsewhere if for some reason you managed to work your way into the championship game with Favre as your starting quarterback. And if you did, I would love to know your secret.

Mark Sanchez, Jets - Sanchez had an MRI on his shoulder on Monday and all indications are that he'll be ready to go against the Bears in Week 16. He's still not a fantasy option, regardless of his decent showing against the Steelers in Week 15.

Running Back

Arian Foster, Texans - Despite his struggles in Week 15 and injury to his hip and ankle, Foster is expected to be ready to play in Week 16 against the Broncos. You need to start him, period. Do not get wrapped up in last week's performance. Foster against the Broncos could lead you directly to a championship ring.

Adrian Peterson, Vikings - Peterson (thigh) sat out of Monday night's game against the Bears. It is too soon to tell whether or not he'll be ready to play in Week 16. Just in case, you might want to have Toby Gerhart ready and waiting.
