The game featured some stellar goaltender from Marc-Andre Fleury, who has rebounded quite nicely after a disastrous start to the season that saw him lose playing time to veteran backup Brent Johnson. During the Penguins recent stretch that has seen them win 17 of their past 20 games, Fleury has been on top of his game, and was sensational -- perhaps a game-saver -- during their win in Washington.
He turned aside 32 of the 34 shots he faced through regulation and overtime, and was arguably Pittsburgh's best penalty killer as it found itself shorthanded six times, including a pair of 5-on-3 situations throughout the game. His best save of the night, however, came in overtime when he robbed Capitals defenseman Mike Green as he walked in for what appeared to be the game-winning goal.
