Randy Moss a Mentor to Kenny Britt
Moss, who signed with the Titans off waivers in early November, has caught just five passes in six games with Tennessee, but coach Jeff Fisher has said in recent weeks Moss' contributions have been major -- particularly for Britt, a second-year veteran.
Britt this week said he absolutely agrees.
"He's taught me how to go out there and practice as a pro,'' Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean quoted Britt as saying this week. "The way you practice, using good technique... and how guys play you in practice.
"In the past I've worn myself out in practices during the week and then I go to the games and I'd be tired and worn out in the fourth quarter. He's helped me out with the things I eat and drink.
"He's taught me things that should help me a lot.''
Britt, a 2009 first-round selection who returned from a hamstring injury two weeks ago, had 128 yards receiving in a victory over the Houston Texans this past Sunday. He has 600 yards and seven touchdowns this season, with four games missed because of the hamstring issue.
"I am getting into the game more,'' Britt said. "My head is more into the game and I am feeling more comfortable when I get to the line of scrimmage. I know the plays and I know the coverages and what the defensive coordinators are going to call on second down and things like that.
"I am learning more in the classroom and bringing it to the field and hopefully it continues to help.''
All players on the active roster are expected to be available for the Titans' game with Kansas City Sunday, with no player listed worse than probable on the injury report.
