This is the second NFL game in three weeks to be moved because of weather. The Week 14 game between the Giants and Vikings, originally a Sunday game, was moved to Monday night in Detroit after snow collapsed the roof of the Metrodome.
Last week's Bears-Vikings game was also in danger of moving both days and venues over concerns about the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium, which turned into the Vikings' temporary home with the Metrodome still unusable. That game, however, went off without a hitch.
Philadelphia and Minnesota will both have to deal with short weeks before playing their final regular-season games next Sunday. The Eagles play at home on Jan. 2 against Dallas, while Minnesota travels to Detroit.
