I've spent a nontrivial part of my life watching sports and I have never, ever seen a basketball sit on the rim for a three count. But that's exactly what happened during a recent Idaho State-Utah State game. Idaho State's Kamil Gawrzydek, as he's done a thousand times before in practice and games, stepped to the free throw line. Except this time, the ball hit the back iron, bounced once more before settling on the front edge of the rim, perfectly balanced, apparently stuck. And then Superman, with nothing better to do than grow a beard and attend a WAC game, willed the ball into the net after it appeared the ball was stuck.
Unfortunately, not even Superman was enough to keep things close. Utah St. won by 23.
