The other shoe has dropped.

The NFL announced it is slapping the New York Jets with a $100,000 fine as punishment for the coordinated effort by suspended assistant coach Sal Alosi to trip Miami Dolphins player Nolan Carroll during a game earlier this month, ESPN reported.

Alosi was found to have instructed several players to form a wall on the sideline to impede the mobility of Dolphins players as they headed upfield. Alosi was caught on video sticking out his knee and tripping Carroll as he passed.

The Jets suspended Alosi and fined him $25,000 for his role in the incident, but head coach Rex Ryan (whose wife was discovered to have participated in numerous foot fetish videos) staunchly denied that he had instructed his coaches to form the wall or to trip Dolphin players.
