Charlie WeisCharlie Weis has been offered the job of offensive coordinator at Florida under new head coach Will Muschamp and is likely to accept it, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Weis is currently the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, one of the surprise teams in the NFL this season, but reports indicate Chiefs head coach Todd Haley would be fine with losing Weis.

Weis has also been the offensive coordinator for the New York Jets and New England Patriots.

His lone stint in college came as a head coach, from 2005-2009 at Notre Dame. He went 19-6 in his first two seasons as the Irish coach, but stumbled mightily the following season at 3-9. He went 13-12 in the last two seasons before being fired in favor of current Irish coach Brian Kelly.

If this report ends up being true, Weis would join Muschamp with Florida after the Gators complete their current season under Urban Meyer's group of coaches. Weis would be replacing Steve Addazio as OC, who left to take the head job at Temple.
