Stevan RidleyStevan Ridley will reportedly be able to suit up with his teammates in the Cotton Bowl against Texas A&M Friday night.

The LSU running back's status was in question since coach Les Miles said on Dec. 22 that Ridley may have to miss the game due to a one-time academic violation. The Associated Press is reporting that Ridley has been cleared to play.

The Cotton Bowl pits No. 11 LSU (10-2) against No. 18 Texas A&M (9-3) Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Ridley, a junior, is unquestionably LSU's top offensive player. He carried the ball 225 times in the regular season, gaining 1,042 yards and scoring 14 of LSU's 34 offensive touchdowns. He enters the Cotton Bowl with a hot hand, too, having scored seven touchdowns in the past three games.
