Marcos Caballero trains his 20-year-old featherweight (126 pounds) son, Randy Caballero, who rose to 6-0, with four knockouts with his Dec. 11 decision over Robert Guillen at The Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

Promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, Randy Caballero will return to the ring again on Jan. 14 against an opponent to be determined at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, Calif.

Marcos Caballero also worked with past titlists Diego Corrales and Johnny Tapia, although Randy Caballero idolizes Hall of Fame fighter and former three-time world champion, the late Alexis Arguello.
