Ted Williams' story of redemption continues. Homeless a week ago, Williams was "discovered" by the Columbus Dispatch. In the days since, Williams received multiple job offers, made radio and television appearances, and was thankful for second chances every step of the way. Williams is again earning a paycheck and his first gig is in the books: Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese. Seems fitting.
As Off the Bench's Rob Sylvester writes, "It's good that Williams is sticking to endorsing things he believes in, because as any college student (practically homeless) can tell you, Mac & Cheese is good eatin' and the price is more than right."
I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but until it does, any company looking for some additional PR should seriously consider hiring Williams. (Ramen Noodles would be an obvious fit.) I mean, it's seldom (OK, never) the case that the guy doing the voiceover for a commercial gets more notoriety than the actors or the product in the spot.
Either way, enjoy, Mr. Williams. You have certainly earned it.
