The 2011 NHL All-Star Game is set for Jan. 30 in Raleigh, N.C. On Tuesday, the league announced the full roster of 42 players who have been named to play in the game.
Now, things get interesting.
For the first time ever, the league is using a so-called Fantasy Draft format for the game. The top six vote-getters were announced last week, and combined with the other 36 players named Tuesday, they will elect captains to serve in the game.
Those captains will then meet Friday, Jan. 28, and pick the teams in a televised event.
Here are the 36 All-Stars named by the league, along with 12 rookies invited to take part in the SuperSkills competition on Saturday, Jan. 29. The six players voted in are denoted by asterisks.
