Ever get the feeling you were born under a bad sign? Well, maybe you've got a different one.
By now, the news has been widely circulated that there are actually 13 astrological signs, according to Parke Kunkle of the Minnesota Planetarium Society. He says that those born between Nov. 29 and Dec. 17 were born under the sign of Ophiuchus.
However, as Tarot.com astrologer Jeff Jawer tells CNN, the tropical Zodiac -- which is used much more widely in the Western world -- was never oriented to the constellations and is not affected by the information about the sidereal Zodiac that sent social media users into a frenzy on Thursday.
If you've gotten a tattoo with your sign, you'll probably want to stick to the tropical Zodiac. If you just glance at the horoscopes in the newspaper every now and then, and think you might want to look at a different one, here's a comparison of the dates:
