With the Super Bowl less than a week away, Americans hoping to adopt the federal government's new dietary guidelines may encounter their greatest challenge sooner than they would hope.

As always, the nation will gather to spend time with family and friends, eat and drink copious amounts of food and beverages, enjoy hilarious television commercials and maybe even watch some football.

So before you make healthy eating a late New Year's resolution, wrap something in deep-fried bacon and check out Surge Desk's five most unhealthy Super Bowl recipes, as discovered on YouTube.

1. Chicken wings in cola

2. Candied bacon

3. Beer cheese dip

4. Bacon-wrapped french fries

5. Cheese football
