Cardinals' Next Defensive Coordinator Could Come Off Super Bowl Roster
It's not so much in who wins or loses between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's all about the Cardinals' next defensive coordinator. Arizona is in the hunt for a new one, and four of the leading candidates are currently employed by the two Super Bowl combatants.
According to the Arizona Republic, Whisenhunt is looking to interview two coaches from each staff as he looks to replace the 2010 coordinator, Bill Davis, who was fired after the season.
Whisenhunt has a history on the Pittsburgh staff, having worked with linebackers coach Keith Butler and secondary coach Ray Horton.
At the same time, Packers safeties coach Darren Perry also worked with Whisenhunt in Pittsburgh, and Whisenhunt also has an interest in Packers' assistant head coach/inside linebackers coach Winston Moss.
