It's the biggest day of the year for the town of Punxsutawney, Pa., where thousands gathered at Gobbler's Knob to watch a humble groundhog try to predict the weather.

For 125 years, Punxsutawney has celebrated Groundhog Day in hopes of learning whether spring is near. If Punxsutawney Phil spots his shadow, legend has it, there's more winter in store. If he doesn't, we'll have an early spring. Though we don't have records for all 125 years, we do know that Phil has seen his shadow more than four times as frequently as he has not.

So what happened this year? Watch and learn.
