Volkswagen's Super Bowl ad has gotten more than 1.7 million views, and it's still days until its official broadcast during the Super Bowl. We enjoyed watching a young Darth Vader discovering the glories of the 2012 Passat, but will this spot find a place in the Super Bowl ad hall of fame?

1. Apple, 1984
Ridley Scott directed the ad that introduced the Macintosh computer to the world.



2. Pepsi, 1992
When Pepsi redesigned its iconic soda can, it hired supermodel Cindy Crawford -- an icon in her own right -- to show it off.



3. Xerox, 1977
One of the most award-winning ads of all time, Xerox's entry in the 1977 Super Bowl promoted the Xerox 9200 duplicating system.

This friendly showdown between Larry Bird and Michael Jordan was a slam dunk for McDonald's.

The job search giant found a creative way to turn employment ennui into traffic.



7. Reebok, 2003
For anyone who ever wanted to tackle the schmuck who forgot to refill the office coffee pot, Reebok had the answer: Terry Tate, office linebacker.
