A former world titlist in the IBF super featherweight (130 pounds) and WBC junior welterweight (140 pounds) divisions, Arturo Gatti (40-9, 31 knockouts) was found dead on July 11 of 2009 in his hotel room in Brazil, where he was vacationing with his wife, Amanda Rodrigues.

Rodriguez was originally arrested and charged with Gatti's murder, but later, released.

Trainers Buddy McGirt and Robert Garcia spoke with FanHouse about Gatti, who was most known for his trilogy with Micky Ward (38-13-1, 27 knockouts). Gatti first lost to Ward, and then twice defeated him. .
