Less than a month after parting ways with MSNBC, Keith Olbermann is set to tell the world what his next major venture will be. On a conference call scheduled for 11 a.m. EST Tuesday, Olbermann will unveil "an exciting announcement regarding the next chapter of his remarkable career," according to a statement from the former cable news host's public relations team.
On his Twitter account, Olbermann has been teasing his followers about what's in store.
As indicated by the preface "LOL," tomorrow's announcement is NOT on ESPN. That was a LeBron James reference that... never mind
OK it's true! I've signed with the Yankees. I'm competing with Freddy Garcia and Bartolo Colon for the 5th Starter's job
While some have speculated that Olbermann could be looking to form his own media empire similar to that of AOL's new editor-in-chief, Arianna Huffington, Olbermann was quick to let his feelings be known about corporate mergers in general.
Am I missing something or has the primary appeal of The Huffington Post been its independence from big $ media?
What awaits the former "Countdown" host? We'll have an answer Tuesday morning. Until then Twitter will continue to speculate.
