As a whole, the Super Bowl commercials were some of the least impressive offerings in recent history. Cleverness, humor and simplicity were replaced by elaborate, computer-generated ads that were visually inviting but lacked much in the way of a story. One of the lone exceptions: the Volkswagen commercial simply titled: The Force. It starred six-year-old Max Page as a mini-Darth Vader using his powers to eventually start the family car.
On Monday, Page, along with his mother, appeared on the "Today Show." More impressive than all the notoriety surrounding the spot: Max was born with a congenital heart disorder and has a pacemaker.
Oh, and let me just say, when he removes his mask, Max is infinitely more handsome than the real Darth Vader:
