Finally, the Cleveland Cavaliers got a little good news. They found out on Friday afternoon that their All-Star point guard Mo Williams will be returning to action as they suit up against the Clippers. Williams has been out of the lineup since Jan. 15 with a hip injury. While you can point to the injury or the lack of motivation, Williams has had a fairly awful season. He's dishing the ball at a career-best 7.1 dimes per game, but his FG% is at 38.7 percent and he's only managed to make one 3-pointer per game (26.6 percent). His shooting has been downright awful this season. So, will his return mark a positive change for the Cavs?
From a fantasy perspective, you want to get Williams back into your lineup. After all, he was one of your top draft picks this season. Then again, with the way Ramon Sessions has been playing you almost hate to see Williams come back and take away a bit of Sessions' thunder.
The question now remains, what do you do with Sessions? I would keep him in your lineup. He is averaging 13.1 points and 7.1 assists as the starter. As of now, it seems like Williams will come off the bench. I think that if anyone loses value it's Daniel Gibson and Anthony Parker. It's hard to see Byron Scott "punishing" Sessions, who has been his best player over their horrid streak.
It's really going to mean that we need to watch Friday night's game and see how things shake out early on. Dropping Sessions simply because Williams has returned would be a big mistake. He still could be highly valuable on a Cleveland team who has no reason not to play his hot hand.
