Washington Media Basketball Skills Challenge Videos Do Not Disappoint

The Washington Wizards have finally snapped their epic 25-game road losing streak, but I wouldn't say things are turning around for hoops in the nation's capital. With John Wall and JaVale McGee soon heading out for NBA All-Star Weekend, they gave the media members that know them best a shot at the skills challenge and slam dunk contest.

Of course they had to even the playing field a bit since, as a wise man once told me, "Those who can't do, write." If Washington Post Live's Chris Miller, Comcast SportsNet's Ivan Carter or 95.5 WPGC's Big Tigger could dunk and move like Wall and McGee on the hardwood, they probably wouldn't be working behind a computer or in front of a camera.

So what happened when the critics are put to the test? Check out the video evidence below.

But the event wasn't a total skills failure. It took a few faceplants and wipeouts, but at least some of the dunks were considered a 10 in the eyes of the judges. Check out Carter impressing the judges.
