Prince William and his bride will make an official visit to Canada from June 30 to July 8, St. James's Palace said today.
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper invited the couple after their engagement was announced in November. William, 28, and Middleton, 29, will marry April 29 at Westminster Abbey.
"Canada looks forward to welcoming the young couple this summer and providing them with all that our country has to offer -- including, of course, the special hospitality and warmth reserved for members of the royal family," Harper said.
The newlyweds will take part in the Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa on July 1. They are also expected to visit Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
Queen Elizabeth II, William's grandmother, is Canada's head of state. She made her 22nd visit to the country in July.
William, who is second in line to the throne, visited Canada in 1998, when he was 15. He toured Vancouver with his father, Prince Charles, and younger brother, Prince Harry.
"Prince William was keen to be able to visit Canada for himself as an adult and to be able to show his wife a country that is close to his family's heart," the palace spokesman said.
