The Colorado Rockies have signed free-agent pitcher John Maine to a minor-league deal, the team announced Thursday.The 29-year-old right-hander has pitched sparingly due to injury over the last two seasons. Maine has managed just 121 innings at the major league level since 2009.
The former Baltimore Oriole has spent the last five seasons with the New York Mets. He went 1-3 with a 6.13 ERA last year and has a career mark of 41-36 to go with a 4.35 ERA.
The Rockies are expecting Maine to report to camp on Saturday.
