WWE Elimination Chamber 2011John Cena and Edge emerged victorious at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Sunday night to move on to main event matches at WrestleMania 27, wrestling's biggest event of the year.

Cena survived in his Elimination Chamber match against CM Punk, Randy Orton, Sheamus, John Morrison and R-Truth. After battling for over half an hour, the match came down to Cena, Morrison, and Punk. Morrison had been selling a knee injury and missed a split legged moonsault out of the corner onto Punk who quickly capitalized for the pin.

Cena then tried his Attitude Adjustment on Punk who held on to the ropes to block the move. But Cena muscled him off and connected with the move over the top rope and onto the steel grating for the victory.

With the win, Cena earned a match against WWE Champion The Miz at WrestleMania 27 on April 3.

In the other chamber match, Edge defeated Wade Barrett, Rey Mysterio, Kane, Drew McIntyre and Big Show to remain the World Heavyweight Champion. Big Show was a last minute replacement for Dolph Ziggler who, in the current storyline, was fired earlier in the week.

It turned out to be a very good match which really picked up about twenty minutes in when Barrett was pinned and then both Big Show and Kane eliminated a few minutes later.

The match came down to Edge and Mysterio who squared off for nearly ten minutes. Mysterio nearly had the match won after hitting the 619. He then went to the top rope for a splash but Edge recovered and drilled him with a speak in mid air for the win.

Following the match, Alberto Del Rio attacked Edge but Christian made his return after a five month absence from a torn pectoral muscle to make the save. Del Rio will challenge Edge at WrestleMania after earning the title shot by winning the Royal Rumble match in January.

The Miz retained the WWE Championship by beating WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler. It looked like Lawler would finally win his first WWE championship after connecting with his signature fist drop off the second rope. But The Miz was able to get his foot on the ropes to break the pin at the last second. The champion came right back with his Skull Crushing Finale and scored the win.

Del Rio won the opening match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, defeating Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston in a non-title match. It was a back and forth match between the two with Kingston landing some high flying moves before Del Rio was able to apply his cross arm breaker and forcing him to submit.

Also on the show, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater defeated Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella to become the WWE Tag Team Champion.

There was another surprise as Trish Stratus made her return to the company and was announced as one of the trainers on the upcoming "Tough Enough" reality television show along with Booker T. Later in the show, Stratus ran to the ring and helped Kelly Kelly who was being attacked by Layla and Michelle McCool.

Stratus left the WWE in September 2006 and has made a few appearances with the company since then.
