Police in Florida say a Collier County mom earned a demerit when she assaulted her roommate in a dispute over Thin Mint cookies.
Hersha Howard, 31, is accusing of waking up her housemate on Feb. 20 and blaming the woman for eating her Girl Scout cookies, the Naples Daily News reports.
The housemate reportedly stated that she didn't eat the treats herself -- claiming instead that she fed them to Howard's kids at around 1 a.m. when the children said they were hungry.
She also offered to pay Howard $10 for the box of Thin Mints, but the suspect refused and the confrontation turned violent.
The victim's husband managed to separate the women, but Howard -- who has been charged with battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon -- allegedly grabbed a pair of scissors and chased the victim throughout the house.
Police say Howard hit the victim with a board, knocked the woman to the ground in the kitchen and began punching her until the victim's husband pulled them apart again.
The victim then fled the house, but Howard allegedly caught up and began striking the woman with a sign.
