Arian Foster Undergoes Knee Surgery
Arian Foster, a second-year running back for the Houston Texans, underwent minor arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday to repair cartilage damaged sustained in the Pro Bowl last month, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday.
McClain reported that if the surgery had taken place during the regular season Foster would have been ready to play in three weeks.
Also for the Texans, defensive assistant John Butler -- who was hired from the University of Minnesota this month to assist with special teams -- will join the University of South Carolina as special teams coordinator.
Foster led the NFL in rushing this past season, a season in which he missed just one game because of injury.
