Sarah Palin Denies Secret Facebook Page Is Hers

One Facebook page with 2.7 million fans is apparently plenty for Sarah Palin.

One day after news broke of a potential Palin rogue Facebook page, the one-time vice presidential nominee has issued a statement denying that the profile belongs to her.

The alleged Palin alter-ego, known as Lou Sarah, was discovered by Wonkette's Jack Stuef, who connected the dots between former Palin aide Frank Bailey's recently leaked tell-all book, a Palin Gmail address contained in the book, and Palin's middle name "Louis" to discover the decidedly pro-Palin Facebook profile.

So where did Palin go to dispel the rumor? Facebook, of course!

Using her "authentic" profile page, Palin denies her alleged double identity:

On a side note, there's always buzz about fake Sarah Palin Facebook and Twitter accounts. Please know that this is my only authentic Facebook account and SarahPalinUSA is my only authentic Twitter account. Pay no attention to the fake accounts and their fake messages.

Despite Palin's statement, skeptics will likely continue pointing to Lou Sarah's Palin-supporting Facebook activity -- "likes" Bristol's "Dancing With the Stars" photos -- as well as the suspicious linked Gmail address.

Also, the profile has since mysteriously vanished from Facebook (but you can still take a peak via Google cache).

Keep in mind, however, that Lou Sarah, whoever she may be, still doesn't hold a candle to the "authentic" @SarahPalinUSA and her 422,000 Twitter followers when it comes to spreading a message. So far, the mysterious Lou Sarah has yet to tweet.
