Should Christine O'Donnell Cut a Rug on 'Dancing With the Stars'? [POLL]

From the tea party to reality TV?

Politician Christine O'Donnell is considering an offer to appear on the upcoming season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." With a tough decision to make, O'Donnell did the practical thing: She turned to her Facebook page to get advice from her fans.

"Although I am utterly flattered, my initial thought was to decline, as 2 year old nephew has more rhythm than me, and my two left feet!!" she posted. Rhythm problems aside, O'Donnell is working on a book, which she says takes priority over the paso doble.

O'Donnell asked her Facebook fans whether they think she should do it. What do you say? Cast your ballot below.

The cast of the 12th season of "Dancing With the Stars" will be announced Monday.

O'Donnell became a "star" during the 2010 midterm elections, when she ran for Senate as a Republican from Delaware. A tea party darling endorsed by Sarah Palin, O'Donnell was a conservative who, among other things, drew attention for admitting to dabbling in witchcraft and for a '90s appearance on MTV to promote celibacy.

On Twitter, not everyone who wants her to go on the show seems to have her best interest at heart.

I think I speak for all of us at @mediaite when I say, please, Christine O'Donnell, do Dancing With the Stars: http://ow.ly/41wUt #dwtsless than a minute ago via HootSuite

Surge Desk looked hard, but there weren't many O'Donnell-friendly tweets. The idea has some "DWTS" fans wincing.

Christine O'Donnell on #DWTS might be the last straw for me as a viewer. I suppose I could read a #book. http://usat.ly/g5UhK0less than a minute ago via web

DeLay, Palin's kid, & now O'Donnell? Since when did DWTS become home base for failed GOP politicians to get airtime? http://bit.ly/hjUmIsless than a minute ago via web
