There are several NBA trades worth discussing today, but the one that's getting the most attention is Boston Celtics President Danny Ainge's surprise decision to trade starting center Kendrick Perkins to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Boston will reportedly get center Nenad Krstic and forward Jeff Green from Oklahoma in exchange for Perkins and forward Nate Robinson.

Smart move, dumb move or dumbest move ever?

Some die-hard Celts fans are dismayed.

I'm so disappointed in you, Danny Ainge. Smh. #Celticsless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

Others say this is just how the game works.

5 Years ago Danny Ainge was an idiot. One trade later hes a genius. One more trade later hes an idiot.less than a minute ago via txt

A gentle reminder to all the armchair coaches out there.

Everyone on Twitter is ripping Danny Ainge..so much so that he is a #TT clearly they know more about the #Celtics org then he does!less than a minute ago via web

Many fans worry that losing Perkins will disrupt the core of the Celtics lineup.

Celtics messing up the rotation though. What happened to the starting 5 that NEVER lost a playoff series?less than a minute ago via Plume

Still others say the loss isn't as great as it's being made out to be. (For the uninitiated, Bill Russell was a legendary center and 12-time All-Star who led the Celtics to glory in the 1960s.)

People here in Boston acting like the Celtics have parted ways with Bill Russell or something. Folks, it's Kendrick Freaking Perkins.less than a minute ago via TweetDeck

We'll give comedian Chris Rock the final word.

A while ago I needed change for a 5. I asked Danny Ainge, and he traded me my $5 bill for his 10 singles. Clearly nothing has changed.less than a minute ago via web
