Jason Babin Must Wait Until New CBA for Contract With Titans
But indications are it's not going to happen soon, either.
The Titans have decided to wait until a new collective bargaining agreement is reached before trying to reach a long-term contract with the Pro Bowl defensive end, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reported.
Wyatt wrote that that likely will be the case with most Titans players scheduled to become free agents.
"The Titans have not closed the door on Jason Babin at all,'' Babin's agent, Rich Rosa, said. "We are in very uncertain waters right now with regard to the collective bargaining agreement, and once those issues are cleared up we are going to address it.
"That's what the Titans told me. ... We don't know the rules we are going to be playing under.''
