Aguilera, who was riding in the vehicle, was charged with misdemeanor public intoxication. She was booked and released on $250 bail.
It's been a rough 12 months for the former Mouseketeer. Surge Desk has a roundup of her recent woes.
May 2010: "Bionic" tour canceled
After announcing a slew of summer performances to promote her new album, "Bionic," Aguilera pulled the plug, saying she was too busy with promotional work for the album and her film "Burlesque," which had just wrapped. In a letter posted on her website, she wrote, "After reviewing the schedule with my team, I realized there was not enough time to put together and rehearse for a proper show, one that is at the caliber you expect from me or at the level I would present to my fans."
June 2010: "Bionic" sales disappoint
Although it debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard charts, "Bionic" fell from there, selling just 110,000 copies in its first week of release. That made it Aguilera's weakest launch to date.
October 2010: Files for divorce
After almost five years of marriage, Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman filed for divorce. In a statement released to the media, Aguilera said, "Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever." Although she has not spoken much about the divorce, in a subsequent interview she admitted that "there have been a lot of tears and sadness. ... Right now, I'm just trying to figure out how to make it through each day."
November-December 2010: "Burlesque" flops
Aguilera's movie musical, which cast her alongside Cher and lots of feathers, was panned by critics and viewers alike -- it's currently got a 37% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. When it was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Picture (Musical or Comedy) category, some Hollywood insiders whispered that the film's studio, Sony, wooed members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association by flying them to Las Vegas for a Cher concert.
