A poster of missing San Diego State University student Austin Bice appears on a parking meter in Madrid. Police, family and friends have stepped up the search for Bice, who went missing after visiting a Madrid nightclub in Madrid more than a week ago.
"A group of young friends had been drinking and then went with him to listen to DJs mix music," friend Maria Garcia told The Associated Press on Sunday.
Larry Bice, the student's father, said he had flown to Madrid to help search for his son and that "the police are doing a great job."
Posters with a recent photograph of Bice have been placed around the city seeking information.
