"It was not appropriate. I understand why people would be upset about it," said Joseph Lee, principal at William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens.
According to Lee, the 14-question "Sexual Tension Quiz" was given to about 25 students, ages 16 to 18, in teacher Frank Rozanski's Advanced Placement psychology class.
1. I am a protrusion that comes in many sizes. When I'm not well, I drip. When you blow me, you feel good. What am I?
2. I'm spread before I'm eaten. Your tongue gets me off. People sometimes lick my nuts. What am I?
3. I assist an erection. Sometimes big balls hang from me. I'm called a big swinger. What am I?
The answers are: (1) a nose, (2) peanut butter, (3) a crane.
The test was reportedly copied from a quiz that is widely available online at West Palm Beach's WPEC-12 website.
According to the Sun Sentinel, Lee said the purpose of the test was to show how wording that children might find innocent could be consider sexual innuendo to an adult.
School officials and parents were not amused by the test.
"The questions are absolutely disgusting," one concerned parent told Miami's WSVN-7. "Horrific. Absolutely horrible. I'd like to pull my kids out of school tonight."
Rozanski could not be reached for comment.
According to Lee, Rozanski, who has taught at the Palm Beach Gardens school for more than 10 years, has been disciplined, but he declined to elaborate. According to local reports, the teacher is still working at the school.
