Lakita Evans, 23, opened the restaurant earlier this week, and customers are reportedly flocking to it to order pimped-out dishes like "Sloppy Ho Brisket" and the "Supa Dupa Fly Ho With Chz."
According to Metro.co.uk, the name, which is a slang for an overweight prostitute, is meant to be a joke, and KWTX.com reports that Evans got the name from a scene in "Phat Girlz," a 2006 comedy starring Mo'Nique.
But at least one neighboring business, the Gospel Cafe and Book Shop, doesn't like the name.
Pastor Marsha Martie, who volunteers at the quiet neighborhood establishment, told Fox News, she wishes Evans had chosen a "more sensitive name."
"That would have been nice, to think a little more sensibly," she added.
But Evans believes the world has bigger concerns than the name of a burger joint in Texas.
"Look what's going on in Japan," she said. "It's, like, clear this world is not gonna get any better. Why cry and be depressed? The economy is bad. Somebody gotta keep a sense of humor around here."
