(Dec. 22) -- Tyson Junior apparently wanted to make a grand entrance.

The newborn, whose family lives in a remote village at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, was born in a helicopter when his mother went into labor Dec. 15, KPNX reported.

Natasha Watahomigie wasn't due until Dec. 27. She lives in the Supai Village, where the only way out on land is by horseback.

"She kept insisting it was coming; I kept telling her it was not," said Darren Winters, who delivered the 7-pound, 7-ounce baby.

"Finally, she was right and I was wrong."

"They were like, 'You weren't joking,'" Watahomigie said with a laugh.

"He's destined to be a pilot," she said of the baby.
