There's not even a celebrity for that matter — the person on trial is a doctor no one had heard of eight months ago.

NEW YORK (AP) — Rap star Lil Wayne has gotten a temporary reprieve from jail — for dental surgery. The Grammy Award-winning rapper's sentencing in a New York City gun case was postponed Tuesday, because he needs to finish a string of recent surgeries before he goes to jail.

NEW YORK (AP) — Jay Leno has a message for David Letterman: Thanks. Leno said that "whatever happened in the last 18 years disappeared" when the two comics got together to film their surprise Super Bowl ad last week.
Jamie Foxx brings kids music, donated instruments
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Oscar and Grammy winner Jamie Foxx says music got him where he is today. He encouraged the next generation of musicians to pursue their passion Tuesday at Walt Disney Concert Hall, where Foxx helped present $500,000 in new violins, flutes, French horns, trumpets and drums to students from 16 high schools nationwide.
Beyonce, Alicia Keys shoot music video in Rio slum
RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Grammy Award-winning singers Beyonce and Alicia Keys are filming a music video in a Rio de Janeiro slum. Brazilian news media report that the singers are at the Morro da Conceicao shantytown to shoot a video for Keys' "Put It In a Love Song," from the album "The Element of Freedom." The Jornal do Brasil newspaper and other local media say Beyonce will have a special role in the clip. Beyonce is on tour in Brazil.
'Lost' star cast in 'Hawaii 5-0'
HONOLULU (AP) — "Lost" star Daniel Dae Kim is the first actor cast for the remake of the hit cop series "Hawaii Five-0." CBS told The Honolulu Advertiser that Kim will portray detective Chin Ho Kelly, who was originally played by the late Kam Fong. Kim plays Jin on ABC's "Lost," which is in its sixth and final season.
DeGeneres says Cowell is 'meaner than I thought'
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ellen DeGeneres, the newest judge on "American Idol," says Simon Cowell is "meaner" than she thought. Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and various guest judges kicked off the ninth season of the Fox singing competition last month. DeGeneres begins her stint Tuesday night. In a video posted on the show's Web site, DeGeneres says Cowell is "actually meaner than I thought. It's hard to listen to him tell people things and for me not to go, `You poor thing!'"
Kate Gosselin to release personal new book
NEW YORK (AP) — Kate Gosselin has a new book, "I Just Want You to Know," scheduled for release in April. Christian book publisher Zondervan said Tuesday the book features excerpts, prayers and memories from Gosselin's journal, offering readers a look at her life during the three years her family went from obscurity to fame on TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8."
Sinatra, Martin to receive stars in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Sin City is paying homage to iconic singers Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin by giving them each a place on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. Las Vegas Walk of Stars spokesman Pablo Castro Zavala said stars for the crooners would be unveiled Feb. 22 in a ceremony at the Flamingo Las Vegas casino-resort. The stars will then be placed in the sidewalk outside the Flamingo on the Las Vegas Strip.
Jackson doctor out on bail, back for April hearing
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Michael Jackson's doctor returns to court in April to find out the date for the next major step in the case — a proceeding that will reveal for the first time the evidence the prosecution believes will show his "gross negligence" was the direct cause of the pop star's death. Dr. Conrad Murray pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge of involuntary manslaughter and a judge released him on $75,000 bail.
