(Nov. 16) -- A body pulled from the Chicago River early Monday is that of Michael Scott, president of the Chicago School Board, who apparently shot himself in the head, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Scott's family reported him missing Sunday, and police used his cell phone to locate him, police sources told the Tribune. A gun was found near the body, they said.

Chicago School Board President Michael Scott was found dead early Monday.

Scott, 60, led the School Board for five years until July 2006 and was reappointed to the post in February, the newspaper said.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson arrived at the scene where the body was found just before 8 a.m. local time. He told CBS 2, a Chicago television station, that he had last spoken to Scott about a week ago.
"Everything is just so wrong," Jackson said. "This is as sudden to me as Monday morning."
