(Aug. 7) -- You never know who you'll find at Wal-Mart. The guy stepping out of a big recreational vehicle in the parking lot might just be a member of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Justice Clarence Thomas' wife, Ginni, told 'The Takeaway,' a public radio show, she and her husband have stayed overnight in dozens of Wal-Mart lots while traveling around the country in their 40-foot bus.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is spending part of his summer vacation driving around the country with his wife. Wal-Mart parking lots are among their favorite places to camp, Ginni Thomas said.
"It's one of our favorite things to do," she revealed in a phone interview this week while on the road in the Adirondacks.
The Thomases like to keep a low profile when they travel and the parking lots provide a measure of anonymity. So many people recognized the justice at one campground, Mrs. Thomas recalled, they had to stop going there.
"The best thing is when they don't know who we are," she said.
Clarence and Ginni Thomas have driven their RV through 27 states since they bought it in 1999.
"It's the best of America out here," Mrs. Thomas told the show.
