(April 27) -- During a jailhouse visit with his family last week, accused Craigslist killer Philip Markoff broke down and told his loved ones to "forget about me," according to media reports.
The story was first reported April 25 by the Boston Herald and was confirmed Monday by ABC News. Both news organizations quote unnamed law enforcement officials.

Markoff also told relatives that "there is more coming out," the Herald and ABC said.

On Thursday, a lawyer for Markoff's fiancee, Megan McAllister, confirmed to ABC's "Good Morning America' that their wedding is off.
Markoff, a Boston University medical student, is charged in the April 14 shooting death of Julissa Brisman, a woman who advertised massage services through Craigslist. She was killed in a Boston hotel. The New York Times reported Friday that ballistics tests made a preliminary match between a gun found in Markoff's home and the bullets that killed Brisman.
ABC obtained an e-mail that was sent out to Brisman's "regular clients" a few days before she was killed. The message outlined the days Brisman -- who used the name "Morgan" with at least some clients -- would be available in Boston.
Markoff is also charged with robbing another masseuse at a Boston hotel April 10. Police said Markoff met both women through Craigslist.

Markoff has pleaded not guilty in both cases. His lawyer, John Salsberg, has said he is innocent of the charges.
On March 24, The Associated Press reported that a fingerprint linked Markoff to a third attack, one involving a stripper at a hotel in Warwick, R.I. She was bound with a cord and held at gunpoint in her room April 16. The attacker fled when her husband returned to her room, she told police.
The fingerprint was found on a wall at the hotel, the AP said, quoting an unnamed law enforcement official.
