(April 22) -- A pilot flying a home-built airplane had to make an emergency landing on a Florida boulevard -- and his on-board video cameras captured it all.
Kyle Davis, 22, the pilot, and his passenger, Joe Surowiec, were headed from Winter Haven to Lakeland, both in Florida, on Sunday for a flying festival, according to Central Florida News 13. But after they got airborne, the engine failed.

"The options for me were land on the road or land on the lake," Davis told the news station.
Davis touched down safely, and the men were able to walk away from the landing.
Davis' flight instructor praised his student.
"Watching that video, he was just awesome," John Amundsen told the news station. "I just hope ... if I ever have a situation like that, I can be as cool as Kyle was."
