Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.49 or 1.2 percent, to $40.00.
Gold Fields rose $.14 or 1.1 percent, to $13.29.
GoldCorp. rose $.26 or .7 percent, to $37.70.
Newmont Mining Corp. rose $.19 or .4 percent, to $48.82.
