(Nov. 24) -- A historic trove of Texas photos was found dumped beneath a Fort Worth bridge, local TV station WFAA reported Sunday.
The discarded shots include those of a young George H.W. Bush; Gwendolyn Brooks, a poet who was the first black author to win a Pulitzer Prize; and the motorcade of President John F. Kennedy, moments before his assassination.

The photos were found by code compliance workers, who frequently check the spot by the bridge. It's a known dumping area, the station reported.
Local officials said the photos could be those stolen from the Tarrant County Black Historical and Genealogical Society about five years ago. The Code Compliance office of the city of Fort Worth is trying to determine who legally owns the photos.
