Runners dressed in nun habits took to the streets of central London Sunday. The charity "Nun Run" benefited a U.K. organization devoted to children's programs.

The run was sponsored by 'Sister Act,' a musical opening in London this month that is based on the popular movie that starred Whoopi Goldberg as a singer who hid from murderers in a convent.
The entry fee including the religious gear, according to the 'Sister Act' Web site.
"The public have been fantastic, with lots of whooping and shouting: 'Go on sisters!' " spokesman Tim Leist told the BBC News.
