(Sept. 29) -- Just four months after she announced her book deal, there's a title and new release date for Sarah Palin's memoir.
The 400-page book is called 'Going Rogue: An American Life.' Working with author Lynn Vincent, the former GOP vice presidential nominee turned in the manuscript ahead of schedule and publication is being moved up from spring to Nov. 17 -- in plenty of time for holiday shopping.

Harper is planning 1.5 million copies for the first printing, more than enough for the Republican base that, as Politico reports, is still wild about Palin. Hot Air's Allapundit predicts plenty of Palin-haters will be eager to read the book, too.
To Donklephant blogger Justin Gardner, the accelerated release of the book -- coming on the heels of her early departure as Alaska governor and her first trip to Asia this month -- is a sure sign Palin is preparing to run for president in 2012.
The title 'Going Rogue' is an echo of last year's campaign -- when reports of clashes between Palin and McCain campaign officials surfaced close to Election Day. One McCain aide who spoke to CNN last October called the vice presidential nominee a "diva" who wouldn't take guidance from anyone and another complained she was "going rogue." Tina Fey even worked the phrase into a 'Saturday Night Live' skit with John McCain -- during which she took a moment to hawk "Palin in 2012" T-shirts (at about 3:30 in this video).
Given the amount of attention she gets from supporters and opponents, this memoir would likely be a best seller even if the title was 'A Book Sarah Palin Wrote.' True/Slant's Laura Nathan thinks 'Going Rogue' is pretty good -- but she's asking readers to suggest better titles for Palin's book.
Noted in Passing
Most Beatles fans didn't know her name, but they all knew the song she inspired. Lucy Vodden has died in London at 46 after a long struggle with the chronic disease lupus. She was a friend of John Lennon's son Julian -- who brought home a picture he'd drawn of her at school. Julian, who was 4, told his dad it was "Lucy in the sky with diamonds."
An inspirational figure of a much different sort was laid to rest Monday in Buffalo, N.Y. Timothy J. Russert died last week at 85 -- a year after the untimely death of his son, 'Meet the Press' host Tim Russert. The newsman told the world about his dad in the best-selling book 'Big Russ and Me.'
