(Oct. 20) -- What a difference a year makes.
Harpo Productions has just announced that Oprah Winfrey will welcome former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to her television show on Nov. 16. The interview, which marks the first meeting between Winfrey and Palin, will promote Palin's new memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life."
During the 2008 presidential campaign, in which Winfrey publicly supported and campaigned for Barack Obama, Winfrey told reporters that she was not interested in bringing Palin on as a guest until after the election was over.

Oprah Winfrey lands a much-anticipated interview with Sarah Palin.
"I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview," Winfrey said in a statement released at the time, "and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over."
Making good on her word, Winfrey sought out Palin as a guest once the electoral contest was decided.
"[I] went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin," Winfrey told the television show "Extra" back in December, "and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me. But maybe she'll talk to me now that she has a [multimillion dollar] book deal."
A Palin spokesman at the time told CNN that the former vice presidential candidate had not snubbed Winfrey.
"It's nothing personal about Oprah, it's just that [Palin] turned down the vast majority of these requests."
Whether the two have decided to let bygones be bygones, or simply see the mutually beneficial business aspect to a one-on-one interview, the sit-down is set. Stay tuned.
