Stanton College Preparatory School
Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, Fla., is the fourth best public high school in the nation, according to Newsweek.
The ranking is calculated by a Challenge Index that takes the number of advanced placement tests taken by all students at a school and divides it by the number of graduating seniors. The index is designed to recognize schools that challenge average students the most. According to the magazine, teacher quality, extracurricular activities and other important factors are too subjective to be factored into this equation.
