Pickin' on the Big Ten: Iowa Isn't Concerned About Your Scorn
Every Thursday, Pickin' on the Big Ten runs down the weekend's games from inside a chicken coop, at least as far as you know. Cue the inevitable anti-Iowa backlash. - 05/18/12 Bulldogs date will have bite Source: Halifax Evening Courier - West Yorkshire - UK HALIFAX'S former Batley back rower Adam Robinson is predicting a white-hot atmosphere at Mount Pleasant on Sunday as the top two sides in the Co-operative Championship go head-to-head (2.0). Robinson was one of five Bulldogs - along with Dane Manning, Sean Hesketh, Wayne Reittie and Paul Handforth - who quit the club last autumn and followed their coach Karl Harrison across West Yorkshire to the Shay. And their reunion with their former employers will add further spice to the first-against-second showdown, with Fax looking to open a six-point gap over John Kear's side.

Southwest Florida foreclosures increasing as refiling...
Source: Jackson County Floridan - Marianna FL
Foreclosure filings in Southwest Florida last month were dominated by those in the first stage of the process, a sign banks have hired new attorneys to refile cases dismissed as long as two years ago.
Some foreclosures had to be refiled because of questionable paperwork and other aspects of the "robo-signing" scandal.
Sixty-five percent of filings in Sarasota County during April were so-called lis pendens -- Latin for "suit pending" and representing the first step -- while in Charlotte County it was 48 percent.
The bump in early stage filings means a logjam that has existed for months has begun to break, with banks refiling stalled cases, experts said.
"I am seeing a lot of cases that were previously dismissed being refiled," said Nancy Cason, an attorney at Sarasota's Syprett, Meshad law firm.
Overall, the 1,310 foreclosures filed last month in Southwest Florida were up 6.6 percent from March, RealtyTrac data shows.
Charlotte County led the region, with foreclosures jumping 30 percent from March, while filings in Sarasota County overall were down 2 percent.
